Apatani granaries
This is a row of Apatani granaries, built with sawn, wooden planks : With few exceptions, each Apatani family owns a few acres of paddy field and one or two granaries to store the husked rice : Raised off the ground to prevent damp and pest damage, the crop may be kept for a year or more.
