Summary: This young Apatani man, standing in a dry paddy field, is from the village of Michi Bamin : He wears the traditional hair style knot with skewers, although the knot is particularly elaborate, string of metal beads on the hair line, series of small earrings, cotton and wool shawl and cane belt visible on the man to his right, : the decoration hanging from one of his hair skewers, however, is the principal reason for this photograph : the metal key, two rows of ceramic beads and a pair of jungle cat teeth were a fashion innovation.
