Summary: This ritual platform is made of hardwood planks and raised on thick wooden posts : It is used for ritual performances, especially the Murung (Feast of Merit) festival (Feasts of Merit) : today, the wood is being replaced with concrete slabs and posts : the tall pole at the back of the platform is a babo pole : Cut from hardwood and approximately 15-20 metres, it is erected on or near a platform during the annual Myoko festival : these men and boys are preparing bamboo pieces for the construction of ritual altars during the last days of the festival.
