Grave at Akule (Image number G.010, J.P. Mills Photographic Collection)
The grave is dug in front of the deceased person's house and in this case a structure like a Morung has been built over it. On this are hung symbols of the heads he has taken, his spear, shield and other possessions, together with offerings of food and rice beer.
