Summary: Konyak. The seat, on which only the Ang may sit, is carved from a single piece of wood (see E.47). The Ang wears a tight cane belt and a long loin cloth. Below his knees he wears large, decorated rings of plaited and coloured cane, and around his neck are numerous necklaces. His woven cane hat is decorated with a crest of bear's fur and a boar's tusk, and topped by a tassel of long human hair, showing his attainment of head- hunter's status.
