90 black and white photographic prints, 47 colour photographic prints and 10 colour reversal film transparencies of 17th and 18th century Chinese ceramic figurines of humans and animals. Artworks include: ceramic figurines of Daoist and Buddhist characters (e.g. eight immortals and bodhisattvas), human figures in domestic scenes, animal figures (including dogs, horses and birds) and mythological beasts (e.g. dragons and shishi/guardian lions). Styles include: Famille Verte, Famille Rose, Blanc de Chine. Periods of origin include: Kangxi and Qianlong periods. Provenance includes: Eumorfopoulos and Lady Ward. Professional studio images. Photographic studios include: Raymond Fortt, Cowderoy and Moss, and AC Copper Ltd. Most prints include studio negative numbers on reverse side. Most prints uncaptioned.
