Book of prime entry in which John Sparks Ltd recorded sales invoices issued to its clients for goods or services supplied in the course of its trade. Entries in the daybook record the stock number of goods supplied, date of invoice, name of client account, brief description of goods supplied or services vended, page number for client account in Sales ledger in which invoice posted, value of individual invoice (£-s-d), and total value of invoices (£-s-d). Invoice entries are arranged chronologically in the daybook by date, with a running total of invoices for each month at bottom of page (£-s-d). Ruled paper. Handwritten. 1 volume. 485 pp. (483 containing entries). Blue marbled endpapers. No cover. No spine. |
