Level: Sub-series

Admin history: In 1897, Miss Alice Emily Kimmins came to Panchgani from Girgaum, Bombay, to avoid the plague that had temporarily closed the school in which she was teaching. She founded Kimmins High School for Girls in Panchgani in 1898, and by December 1929 the school was self-supporting. A report in 1934 included a photograph of Miss Kimmins. There was also a primary day school with education in the Marathi language. In 1969 control was handed over to the Christian Medical and Educational Fellowship, a BMMF Indian Christian Trust.
