Admin history: Alfred Thomas Saville was born on 6 Aug 1839, at Birmingham. He was appointed to Huahine, South Seas, with the London Missionary Society, and sailed with Mrs Saville in the John Williams, 29 Jan 1866; arrived at Adelaide on 4 May, and proceeded to Sydney; left Sydney on 21 Aug for Aneiteium, visited the Loyalty Islands and thence to went on to Niue; on 16 Mar 1867, left Niue for Samoa, where they arrived on 20 Mar, and thence proceeded to Huahine, arriving there on 16 Apr.
