Admin history: Stephen Mark Creagh (1826-1902) served as a missionary with the London Missionary Society in the South Seas, 1853-1901. He was appointed to the Loyalty Islands, and was stationed at Neché from 1854, where he established a mission press. From 1870 he was stationed at Lifu, until his retirement in 1886. His first wife, Susan Anna Peek, died at Maré in 1855. He remarried in 1858, to Saran Ann Buzacott, daughter of the LMS missionary Aaron Buzacott. Stephen Creah died in 1902.
