Summary: Vellum bound volume. Originally an account book, the volume contains published articles and letters on the troubles in Griqualand West [South Africa]. Pasted inside are articles by Rev John Mackenzie [LMS missionary who served at Kuruman and Shoshung among the Tswana peoples], letters by Rev John Brown [LMS missionary at Kuruman], letters by a Special Correspondent and a printed copy of a letter from Mankuruane Mo'chobangoe, the Paramount Chief of the Batlapins, all of which were published in the Cape Argus newspaper. Also printed copy of a letter from Rev A. J. Wookey [LMS missionary in Central and South Africa and scholar on the Secwana scriptures] to Dr Mullens [Foreign Secretary of the LMS], 27 August 1878.
