Admin history: Kathleen [Catherine] Deuchar worked at the headquarters of the London Missionary Society where she acted as an assistant to Dr Wardlaw Thompson, and later to F. H. Hawkins. She accompanied the 1924 Deputation to Africa at her own expense, and in that capacity paid a visit to Mbereshi in Northern Rhodesia, where she stayed at the Livingstone Memorial Girls' Boarding School.
