The second, dated 25 May 1896 refers to the Government Commission at Tutuila and is a request for Goward to visit. The third, dated 23 July 1896 is a plea for the Queen's brother to be allowed to travel. The fourth letter is a petition for an additional minister to support Goward's work. Includes translations of the letters into English, made in 1955 by Rev E J Edwards.
