Born 7 Sep 1862 at Birmingham; appointed to Samoa; sailed 12 Dec 1890; arrived at Apia, 1 Mar 1891, and for a time carried on work at Malua; 16 Aug 1892, removed to the new Central Girls' School at Papauta; in 1894, she visited the north-west out-stations, also in Jun 1896; in 1900, she took charge of the Girls' High School at Atauloma, Tutuila; her main work was educational; for many years she was responsible for the 'Notes on the International Sunday School Lessons', in the native magazine 'O le Sulu Samoa', and was one of the examiners in the vernacular for the Samoan District Committee; she died at Papauta, 3 Jan 1920. |
