Activities include: repairing boats; commencing building operations, December 1906; launching boat. Places or buildings include: road to native village; view of buildings under construction; house and stores; boat repairing shed; view of station, January 1908. Also includes: young coconut tree and Para rubber tree, January 1908; the company's horses, with western male rider. Pictures taken by/received from: Papuan Industries Ltd [Headquarters established on Badu island by Frederick William Walker, former LMS missionary, J B Freshwater and C H Walker. Developed as a commercial enterprise with the intention of improving life for the Papuan people, yet its work was not seen as fitting for the LMS directly due to financial nature.] Reproduced in The Chronicle January 1909 pp4-6.
