Groups include: children playing on beach and in front of mission house; women in ceremonial dress with painted faces performing ceremonial dance; men, [possibly returning from hunting]; women with pots; large gatering in front of thatched house; children reading, seated on canoe on beach; bride, bridegroom and congregation at Christian wedding; sea scene with families on rafts, pig drinking; group setting off in rowing boats; family group; women waving out to sea from hilltop; women carrying babies in bags; group at outoor table; large formal group of church members including Rev and Mrs Saville; boys balancing in human pyramid; group of schoolchildren lauging whilst listening to gramophone record player; group of hill people of Bogea tribe, inland from Orangerie Bay. Activities include: women making baskets, as taught by Mrs Saville; climbing coconut palms; men performing ceremonial dance; boy canoeing; women canoeing; men sailing; making sago behind Port Glasgow, Mailu; bridge building; thatching roof; sailing; building houses; tug-of-war on the beach; throwing spears, launching decorated canoes; women cleaning each other's heads and feet.
