From 1928 onwards Incoming correspondence from the field is no longer stored in chronological order, but in alphabetical order by sender. This means that the letters from a particular missionary are filed together. There may be more than one file per missionary however, as files are either yearly, or only span a limited number of years. Letters are further sub-divided by language group, with an additional group of letters which relate to all areas in the South India mission field (dating from around 1945). Letters after 1950 are held with the India division. |
