Groups include: mothers and babies at the welfare centre; 2nd and 3rd year industrial girls; girls with Gladys ?; children on an excursion to Tiger Kloof; orderlies from the dispensary; native nurse and patients; Tiger Kloof band; staff, February 1937, including [Alfred] Haile and B C Thema. Activities pictured include: lace work; girls returning to school; spinning; tailoring; gymnastics; teacher training in the Normal School; first aid class; capentry. Also includes: girl with mat design; the Practising School. Prints received from people including: Evelyn Haile [later ?Evelyn Burns]; [?Francis] Bowers; ?W Woobepe; H D Cotton; Dr Kenneth Wills; Haile. Prints have the letters "b" or "c" and numbers on them.
