Correspondence of Rev Thomas Cocker Brown (Foreign Secretary, LMS, 1933-1948) relating to the staffing arrangements at Mbereshi and the position of the missionary-in-charge following a 'disturbance' at the mission, 9-19 March 1941, which focused on disagreements between members of the church and staff of the different educational establishments. Correspondents include Rev Griffiths Quick (missionary-in-charge and Principal of the Mbereshi Boys' Training School and teacher training department) who resigned from his post as a result of the disturbances in July 1941, Andrea Makulu and other teaching staff of the Boys' Boarding School, N.
