Calcutta report regarding tea plantations; letter forwarded to Findlater, also reminded behind with reports and accounts; possible difficulties due to dear labour consequent on shortage of imported 'coolies' [term from original source, indentured/contract labourers]; in Calcutta, scarcity lessened and 80 'coolies' forwarded to Dhubudhur, but "more will be needed to do justice to the large acreage"; inexplicable failure of selected seeds in nurseries so replanted with best China and hybrids; enclosed, a letter from John McKinnon to his uncle with news of friends in Calcutta; stamped and addressed on back.
