Summary: Includes letters from: James Green, Tahiti - proceeding to England for medical advice George Morris, Tahiti - plea for trained school teacher; Mrs Morris's ill-health; many chapels being built including one opened at Haapiti, Moorea; visits to out-stations James Vivian (secretary), Raiatea - his plan to charter vessel to Austral islands [Iles Tubuaï] postponed; Tamahine and Tamarua to return to their islands; notes on enclosed portraits Alfred Saville, Huahine - out of 1440 population upwards of 300 children and adults are under instruction, though lacking school materials; 48 candidates for chruch fellowship; Vaiho, ordained native pastor of Maiaoiti (island 60 miles from Huahine) had been absent 8-9 months. Islanders will build a new Mission House if LMS supply windows and doors.
