Admin history: William Pool (1815-1896) served with the London Missionary Society in Madagascar 1865-1881. He was sent out to Madagascar as a builder. He superintended the building of the churches at Ambohipotsy and at Andohalo, both opening in 1868. He built a new church at Ambohitantely, enlarged the church at Ankadibevava, and built a new church at Amparibe, which opened on 6 May 1870.
