Custodial history: |
Inside cover of scrapbook bears the inscription 'A. B. Hore, Navala, New Town'. It seems that the scrapbook belonged to Annie Boyle Hore (nee Gribbon), wife of Edward Coode Hore (1848-1912), who was appointed to the Lake Tanganyika Mission in 1877. Mrs Hore arrived in Zanzibar in September 1884. Captain Hore settled at Kavala Island, where he remained until 1888. |
