scb_arrangement Outgoing correspondence comprises several separate sequences, including general outward letters, 1866-1914, an additional sequence known as 'Home Office Extra', 1764-1945, and outgoing correspondence to individuals in the mission field overseas, which is arranged to reflect the organisation of the regional committees: Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western. Thus, Northern Outgoing Correspondence includes letters to Russia, 1822-1835. Southern Outgoing Correspondence includes letters to Africa and Madagascar, 1822-1830; Africa, Europe & Madagascar, 1832-1867; Africa, 1868-1914, and Madagscar, 1866-1916. Western Outgoing Correspondence includes letters to South Seas and West Indies, 1822-1835; South Seas, 1835-1892, and West Indies, 1835-1925. Eastern Outgoing Correspondence includes letters to India, 1822-1830; India & Russia, 1831-1843; India, 1843-1914; China & Ultra Ganges, 1822-1854, and China 1854-1914.
