Few papers survive relating to the administrative functions of the London Missionary Society, and there is very little on the running of the Departments. The series of Home Committee minutes and the Board papers are more significant in documenting the history of the Home Office. However, significant series of surviving administrative papers relate to legacies received by the Society and Deputations made by officers of the Society to the mission field.
