William Arthur Martin served as a missionary with the China Inland Mission in Shanghai and Sichuan province, China. Before his missionary service, Martin worked as a bank clerk in Thornton Heath, London. Following his service he became a parish priest in Somerham with Flawton, Suffolk. He died in 1980.
Christina Stuart Macintyre (afterwards Martin), a nurse, served with the China Inland Mission in Shanghai and Nanpu, Sichuan province. She died in 1967.
William and Christina Martin's first daughter, Christine Mary Martin was born in 1932. She began her education at Chefoo School in about 1939. She was interned during World War II, without her parents, in Weihsien Internment Camp. Following her release she attended Bristol University. Christine died in about 1973. |
