scb_admin_history The Rev John Graham (b 1867) and his wife Lottie Evelyn Graham (c 1881-1958, née Varcoe) served with the China Inland Mission in Yunnan, China. Rev Graham was born in 1867, the son of Christopher Graham (1844-1910) and Jane Braithwaite (b 1843)). Rev John Graham married an American Lottie Evelyn Varcoe in Yunnan. Rev Graham had an interest in the natural sciences and anthropology, and was a collector of zoological specimens and cultural artefacts during his time in Yunnan. Following their return from China, John Graham and Lottie Graham lived at the China Inland Mission nursing home at Cornford House, Pembury, England. The daughter of Rev John Graham and Lottie Graham, Jean Braithwaite Graham (1915-2010) was a pupil at the China Inland Mission Chefoo School at Chefoo [Yantai, China], where she was a member of the Rangers (Girl Guides). Jean later worked as a nurse in London, England.
