The China Council of the China Inland Mission (CIM) was formed in 1896. It was conceived as an advisory body to the CIM General Director and met in China approximately four times a year. The Council was composed of the General Director, the Superintendents of the provincial districts, the deputy China Director, other headquarters staff, and missionaries as appointed. In addition representatives from other missions associated with CIM or whose personnel were under CIM supervision also occasionally served on the Council. |
