Summary: Journals of the Algiers Mission Band, the first Journals being in the form of handwritten manuscripts prepared by Lilias Trotter, including original photographs, sketches and other illustrative items. Later Journals are typed and/or cyclostyled for distribution. The Journals were an informal replacement for annual reports. They list staff and locations, with dates of arrival.
Extent: 40 vols
Admin history: The Journals began in 1907, the year of the formal constitution of the Algiers Mission Band, and ran until 1925. They provided a chronological survey month by month of what was happening on the field for the benefit of prayer supporters at home, giving news of the various mission stations and specific information about their ministry and those for whom they particularly desired prayer.
