Leslie Alfred Brame was born 26 October 1914; married 7 June 1941 to Elizabeth (Judy) Gladys Worthington (born 6 November 1910) of the Soeciety for the Propagation of the Gospel mission. They were married 7 June 1941. Leslie Brame was accepted for ministry training in 1934 and studied at Fitzwilliam Hall, Cambridge University and Cheshunt College. Accepted by the London Misssionary Society for service in China. Ordained and commissioned for service in China 13 June 1939. Undertook studies in Chinese language and culture at the School of Oriental and African Studies. Sailed to China 5 January 1940. Transferred to West China. Appointed to Samoa 1949, stationed at Leulomoega, Malua. Resigned 31 August 1960. Died April 2009. |
