Admin history: William Govan Robertson was born on 27 August 1869, at Whithorn, Scotland. He was connected with the Livingstonia Mission, Nyassaland, as a lay missionary, from February 1891, and later appointed to the London Missionary Society Central Africa Mission in 1897. He married Christian Gregorson Sim on 25 June 1897. He was ordained in Free St. George's Church, Glasgow. Mr and Mrs Robertson left England on 7 July 1897, and settled at Kawimbe.
