Chien – Ying Chang (1913 - 2004) was born in China and moved to the UK in 1946. She first studied at Nanjing University and later at the Slade School of Art, London. In the UK, Chang toured the country demonstrating traditional Chinese painting techniques. She is known for her paintings of fish in water, painted on rice paper, as in this example. |
