Summary: Szechuan Landscape by Liang Baiyun, Sichuan, China, 1944 MEDIUM Ink painting on silk paper DIMENSIONS 132 x 78 cm ACQUISITION Presented by Sir John Keswick in 1974 REFERENCE LDSAC 2022.4.10 Painted from nature in Sichuan on the day of the Qingming Festival of the jiashen year (1944) by Liang Baiyun of Maoming, in the Guangdong province. Liang Baiyun (1912-1979) was born in Maoming in the Guangdong province, China. He was a student in the Fine Arts Department of the National Central University in Nanjing under the tutelage of Xu Beihong (1895-1953), another famous Chinese painter and a close friend of Huang Junbi (1898-1991).
