An Ethiopian Christian painting depicting Saint George slaying a dragon. Saint George, the patron saint of Ethiopia, is shown mounted on a horse. The saddle cloth, crupper, breast band, headgear and toe stirrup are all distinctly Ethiopian. He uses a long Ethiopian spear with a cross shaped finial to slay the dragon from which a small blue devil appears. In the tree to the right is a princess, now saved from the dragon. The text at the top is written in Ethiopian Ge'ez.
