Compiled by Thomas Barclay. Includes photographs of churches, ministers, missionaries, and short descriptions of the work of the Mission. Mainly concerned with the Church in South Formosa.
Profiles (in Chinese) all churches in Gaoxiong, Tainan, Jiayi, Taizhong, and Penghu Islands. Each church profile contains a page of pictures (leaders, altars, outerbuildings) and a page listing location, date of establishment, name of founding missionary, directors, number of sunday school/youth group attendees, history of development [lists vary somewhat]. Other sections: 'Schools and Hospitals', 'Elders and Labourers', 'Propagators,' 'Missionaries and Pastors', and Church Backers. These other sections consist of portraits, dates of arrival in Taiwan, dates of death, and dates of departure from Taiwan. Taiwanese supporters of the church are listed with their names and contributions to the church. Some sections include pictures of gravesites and monuments. |
