Summary: This Apatani ritual platform consists of hardwood planks and raised on thick wooden posts : Each of the seventy-eight Apatani clans owns or owns jointly with other clans, its own platform which is situated in its quarter of a village, as we see here : as a public space in these densely populated villages, it is used primarily for ritual events, especially the Murung (Feast of Merit) festival : today, the wood planks and posts are being replaced with concrete slabs and posts.
