Lilias Trotter's devotional writing, 'Parables of the Cross and the Christ-Life', popular when they first appeared, are still in print and now available through the Internet. Interest in Lilias, especially in the USA remains high, and a film has recently been produced by Laura Waters Hinson (Image Bearer Pictures) and Miriam Rockness entitled 'Many Beautiful Things', describing the difficult choice that she made between following Ruskin's call to devote herself to art and her personal calling to serve as a missionary in North Africa. |
