Revd. Robert Brooking was a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in the Gold Coast in West Africa, from 1839 to 1845. Brooking then worked in Canada/North America near Lake Winnipeg and Hudson By c.1855 to 1859. By the time he arrived in Canada, Brooking had married his wife Elizabeth and they had had a daughter. He was appointed to Norway House Mission on 4 April 1857 |
